obey-obama-hope

Shepard Fairey, a street artist most known for the worldwide Obey Giant campaign was arrested last week on his way to DJ at an event to promote his “Supply and Demand” exhibition at The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. Fairey with his Obama Hope posters may have recently gained worldwide exposure, but even more impressingly has been shown support from Obama’s own PR personnel. One display at the current exhibition includes a typed letter from “Obama” that reads, “I am privileged to be a part of your art work and proud to have your support”. Perhaps the new President will be able to waive Fairey’s two outstanding warrants which were issued for tagging and graffiti in the Boston area.
