Back around again, StreetFest presents 10 hours of innovative showcases starting at 1pm through ’til 11pm at Hearn St Car Park this Sunday. Merging creative talent from the worlds of; music, art, film, street sports and fashion.
Beats from The Nextmen along with the Urban Nerds, outside Remedy will host some Spoken Word and on the main stage teams will go head to head in a live Secret Wars art battle.
The people at StreetFest put on another great party this bank holiday weekend. The main stage headlined by Mr Hudson but strong performances from Ty, Reeps 1 and the End of the Weak MCs really got the people going. Outside a hyped crowd gathered around a group of b-boys, also enjoying the sunshine were graffers and artists who worked throughout the day on their pieces. Back inside skaters took turns on a specially constructed half pipe, and around the way, a well stocked street market and cinema. Where else could you have spent your Sunday?
Check out the video for our highlights, photos coming too. Hold tight!
Every Friday at 9am we will be posting up something for the weekend, our top pick of what’s going on between now and Monday. You can also check out the events page for other ideas.
This week we think you should seriously consider heading down to Streetfeet ’09. The event on Sunday is described as a “new breed of festival… promoting and merging creative talents”. On the day you’ll see live painting, skaters (they’ve built a halfpipe), fashion shows and cinema screenings. Music being provided by the people at Real Hip Hop in London and if you get hungry they’ll be food from Japan to Jamaica.
