A new video has been released documenting what the public think of the infamously masked street artist Banksy. Some well informed opinions but also some really wacky ideas in the mix.

A nice piece by Sweet Toof photographed by Unusualimage in Hackney Wick. Check out more street art from Hackney Wick on Unusualimage’s Flickr.

Futura has been a figurehead in the game for years. In this 2-part video interview by URB.com he discusses himself as being a “second generation” graff artist rhetorically noting the importance of his predecessors. BBC 6 Music launches ‘cutting edge’ animated ad campaign, it features an animated “street art” character with a long elephant-like snout on his hunt for music. The 40-second TV ad, created by ad agency Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, is set to American band Vampire Weekend’s track A-Punk. RKCR’s Executive Creative Director says, “Such a cutting edge and fresh digital radio station requires something appropriately innovative to promote it, and we hope we’ve done that”. Check over the jump to see why we think RKCR have done a bad job similar to the work seen on a £50 Prada bag from Hong Kong.

Aakash Nihalani uses neon tape to create geometric shapes in selected spots across New York city. His work isn’t destructive and unlike more surreptitious street art activities he has no problem carrying out his work in broad daylight. Not so technically challenging or bound by edgy social commentary, Nihalani’s work could be described as street interventions. Creating something in a new form for New Yorker’s to identify and comment on.

Vinchen (A View Askew) in rhetoric to the US motor industry bailout. Bosses of the Big Three US automakers are currently pleading with Congress for a $34 billion bailout, after their initial appeal ended in humiliation. CEO’s flying in private jets whilst thousands of workers are worrying about whether they’ll get the chop over the festive season.
Sadly someone even attempted to steal the donations.
