The Doctor’s Orders family will be joined by Guilty Simpson as well as a Golden Age Hip Hop set from Westwood. Drum & Bass is the order of the day in room two, while Dubstep and all things Bass dominate in room three.

The Kicks N Canvas exhibition was organised by our friends over at SoleHeaven. Bringing together a love for Kicks & Art, 21 artists were asked to individually customise a pair of fresh white Nikes, their vision also overflowing onto 50x50cm canvases. Creativity sourced from the likes of: Goldie, ATG, Insa, Inkie and Ben Frost. Be sure to get down there quickly as all items are up for sale with viewings closing on April 18th. For the launch of the Rufige Kru’s latest LP, Memoirs of an Afterlife, last night we saw a heavyweight lineup take over D&B TV. Spectrasoul kicked things off with a moody solid set, Goldie played some heavy hitters whilst doing the robot, the BPM was taken down by Skream with a Dubstep set and finally Flight went through a priceless crate full of old school classics. Unfortunately Loxy was unable to make it but DJ Loxy turning up in the end; going dark and dirty with his selection. A top session which was all captured on video, check it out at D&BTV.
Goldie has been promoting his forthcoming exhibition with mock estate agent signs. “The Kids Are All Riot” exhibition will be opening Friday 10 April at the Maverik Showroom on Redchurch St, Shoreditch. This new show is “joining the dots” from Goldie’s pioneering graffiti heritage to now and beyond.
With the public paying for the recession off the back of the greedy few. Property prices have fallen as it becomes harder to get credit. Yes it’s here! The Ipod generation will be pleased to hear that one of the biggest Drum and Bass label’s now have a podcast. Expect the droppage of all the new releases along with information about up and coming events. Metalheadz’ headman Goldie presents the first podcast and is accompanied by new blood in the form of Data. We won’t give too much away but the two talk about forthcoming projects hailing from the Metalheadz camp.
Let’s hope the podcast doesn’t end up redundant like so many other great Drum and Bass podcasts before it (Digital Soundboy, Spearhead, PlayazOnline and Zincast).
A special treat for you. It’s a remix of “Illegal Attacks” from a while back which has now been made available for free download. Rufige Kru are of course the legendary Goldie and co. This isn’t going to be released on vinyl (officially anyway) so get it in digital format.
