Rinsed by those lucky enough to be sent a dubplate awhile back the freebie has been released in promotion of Alix’s Dark Days EP. The PSM (of The Gorillaz Sound System) and our friend RohanBM got together to work on this great short. Filmed a few weeks ago at The Secret Garden Party you’ll get to see the drummer’s journey from rehearsals up until the execution of a crowd pleasing and spectacular performance.
Reso, more known for his raw hard hitting Dubstep, has shown that his influences can sometimes take him on very different journeys (evident through tracks like Namida and Channel Pressure). He even recently exclaimed his love for drum and bass in an interview with Hospital. I Could Do That is an experimental project where members of the public are invited to write comments about works of street art in and around East London. QR codes found by selected pieces of street art are connecting mobile phones to corresponding comments pages on the I Could Do That website. This clever idea allows people to interact around a piece or art on the street like they would a video on YouTube.
Berkane Sol headman, Geiom, has put together a nice selection of Funky and UK G for Planet Mu. Especially nice to hear Sunship make the tracklist, it’s been awhile!
The Creators Project is a collaboration of efforts from Intel and Vice. Having already shaken up New York the project is coming to London and bringing with it a celebratory assemblage of musicians, artists, designers, panelists, filmmakers, food, and drink.
Firstly the day time exhibition, running from 12PM to 6PM will include interactive installations from Radical Friend, United Visual Artists, Karl Sadler, Nick Zinner, Takeshi Murata, Spike Jonze, DSP, Mark Essen, Li Hui and Felix Thorn. No registration is required for this event and it is open to everyone.
